Rex Kralj Mosquito chair is a true eye-catcher that’s looks great in dining rooms as well as home offices. Designed by Niko Kralj himself in 1953, the wooden chair resembles the silhouette and lightness of a mosquito – from the wing-like seat with its central join, to the dramatically angled legs. Following the footsteps of Eames’ moulded plywood experiments in the 1940s, the innovative design proved too demanding for 1950s manufacturing methods. Fortunately, thanks to the recent efforts of Rex Kralj this exemplary chair has finally been brought to life and used in homes worldwide.
The Mosquito chair comes in three variations: natural oak, black oak and natural walnut.
