The holiday season is all about precious time with loved ones, homemade cookies, family traditions, letter writing and… gift wrapping. When it comes to wrapping presents we are not really fans of red, green and other bold colors but prefer simplicity in the form of plain paper, simple strings and some branches.
Here are few of our suggestions you can replicate when wrapping your Christmas presents:
The first suggestion is wrapping your present into silver or any other color of plain paper and adding the string around the present in an irregular patter. Use a chunkier string and make sure it is tied quite tight. To make it a bit easier attach the string to the bottom of the present with the tape. You can of course add some greenery and a tag to this present too, but we prefered to keep it very simple.
A bit old fashioned and traditional but brown paper is one of the most classic ways to wrap your presents. Wrap the string around it in an irregular pattern and add a personal feel by attaching some foliage or a personalized tag.
Foliage is easily available from a florist or even better: you can just take a trip to the woods to pick some yourself or cut some branches from your Christmas tree. Choose greens that last a long time (like spruce, cypress, rosemary, olive tree, eucalyptus) or add them to the package the last minute to prevent them from dying.
Wrapping a gift for a minimalist? Use simple white paper and optionally add some greens taped with washi tape. Voilà!
