“The collection was inspired by the myth of the Sumerian goddess Innana and her voyage to the underworld where she encounters seven gates. At each gate, she casts off a piece of her clothing and, finally, stands naked at the last gate faced by her dark sister, her darker side,” Janja Videc describes the inspiration for her latest collection Inanna.
As portrays the young designer who grew up in Slovenia and studied Textile and fashion design at University of Ljubljana, the collection is a symbolic voyage to one’s own »underworld«. It represents the death and rebirth of awareness and complete acceptance of everything one is, the commitment towards neverending growth and spiritual development.
Subdued color palette, materials of highest quality and well thought tailoring are the main components of the collection. Natural materials support the balance of the body and its surroundings, while minimalistic lines and subtle details accentuate the personality of the woman who wears them, and make room for her true nature to express itself.
“Inanna’s message” concludes Janja, “is that every woman is a unique Goddess, as perfect as she is! The real beauty is much more and much wider than what artificially constructed ideal of beauty could ever be”.

»The starting point and the concept of the collection WITCHES LOOKBOOK was formed and based on the foundation of correlation between the city and the forest, which in symbolic language represent the conscious and subconscious, imaginative mind«, Janja Videc describes her latest collection Witches Lookbook.
